AI Transparency

Food Science Toolbox uses artificial intelligence to help create certain educational content and power selected resource-generation tools. AI helps the platform develop useful materials efficiently and keep affordable resources available to educators.

Where AI May Be Used

AI may assist with:

  • Developing Teaching Tips
  • Planning, drafting, or editing blog articles
  • Creating classroom resources published in the Classroom Resource Shop
  • Generating teacher-requested materials through applicable resource generators
  • Organizing or describing platform content

AI involvement may differ among features and resources.

Our Approach to Quality

AI-assisted content is created using Food Science Toolbox guidelines for classroom usefulness, readability, and subject relevance. Automated checks and other quality-control steps may be used before content is published or made available.

AI-assisted content can still contain errors or require additional context. Following a quality standard does not guarantee that every statement is scientifically accurate or appropriate for every classroom.

Classroom Resource Shop

Classroom resources are published in one shop. Teachers can filter by file format and other attributes to find editable source files, print-ready files, or both.

Resources published in our shop are checked for classroom usability, clear instructions, age-appropriate content, and scientific accuracy using our established quality standards.

Professional Judgment

Teachers should review all resources before classroom use and adapt them as needed for:

  • Student needs
  • Grade level
  • Course objectives
  • School policies
  • Local requirements
  • Current scientific and food-safety guidance

Food Science Toolbox resources support professional instruction but do not replace teacher judgment, school requirements, regulatory guidance, or specialized professional advice.

Our Commitment

Food Science Toolbox will continue improving its AI-assisted workflows, quality standards, and review practices.
